Adelaide Day Trip
October 23 @ 9:00 am – 5:00 pm Adelaide
Victor Harbor, Wildlife and Goolwa Day Trip
A day of coastal scenery, wildlife and local history across the Fleurieu Peninsula. Urimbirra Wildlife Park fits alongside the Victor Harbor stops without taking too much time from the rest of the day. For this trip, lunch will be free time in town rather than a set group booking, so students can choose their own restaurant or cafe in Victor Harbor. Students must bring their own lunch money.
Highlights Include:
9:00am Depart Rundle Mall campus
– Arrive Urimbirra Wildlife Park
– Koala encounter at Urimbirra, plus kangaroos and other Australian wildlife
– Victor Harbor: walk across the Causeway to Granite Island and back (horse drawn tram available as an optional extra at own cost)
– Free time in Victor Harbor for students to purchase their own lunch (bakery, fish and chips, cafes and pubs all nearby)
– Port Elliot: short stop at Freeman Lookout over Horseshoe Bay and the Fleurieu coastline
– Goolwa Barrage: walk out over the barrage, chance to see seals and learn about the Murray Darling system meeting the sea
