Graduation eligibility

For students to be eligible to graduate, there are a number of steps involved to ensure the integrity and credibility of the qualifications that are issued by both Ikon Institute and ALG. The steps that each provider is required to take will vary, however, the eligibility deadline, ceremony deadline and ceremony dates are the same for all students.

Ikon eligibility timeline

This is the date that your final marks are made available to you.

Result release date: 22 May 2026

Following the results release there is a period of time to allow for review to confirm that each student has successfully met all requirements of the course This can take between one to four weeks.
During this time the following steps will be taken:

  • Grade Reviewed by your Head of School and the Dean
  • Academic Board will approve for the qualifciations for conferral
  • Board of Directors formally confers qualifications (Conferral is the official act of granting an award to a student)

Review & Approval period: 22 May 2026 – 26 June 2026

The eligibility deadline is the date by which all potential graduands must have met the following criteria:

  • Completed all the subjects for their course
  • Qualification reviewed and conferred
  • Outstanding fees paid
  • USI provided and verified

Students who have not met the criteria by this date, will be moved to the next graduation. 

Elgibility deadline: 26 June 2026

This is the final date for eligible students to RSVP for their graduation ceremony through our event partners website. 
Formal invitations are distributed in the week following the eligibility deadline.
All students are required to RSVP even if they do not wish to attend a ceremony.
Graduands who fail to RSVP will not be sent any further invitations to future ceremonies.

ALG Eligibility Timeline

This is a two week period starting from the end of each term.
*Excludes supplementary assessments

Marking Period: 4 April 2026 – 19 April 2026

Following the marking period there is a period of time to allow for the student admin team to conduct assessment quality checks and verify that each student has successfully met all requirements of their course.

Quality Period: 19 April 2026 – 29 May 2026

The eligibility deadline is the date by which all potential graduands must have met the following criteria:

  • Completed all the subjects for their course
  • Qualification passed quality checks and been verified
  • Outstanding fees paid
  • USI provided and verified

Students who have not met the criteria by this date, will be moved to the next graduation.

This is the final date for eligible students to RSVP for their graduation ceremony through our event partners website.
